By: LazerKim What’s up? Well, yesterday I came across a music chart by dwango.jp that stated a record showing the most downloaded Kpop music and drama songs for the year 2012. Kim Hyun Joong topped the chart for Kiss Kiss Japanese version as No. 1 and Heat ranked No.5 on its annual ranking. I’m not familiar with downloading but it was said that Dwango is a site rendering music downloads on different global music and among the latest hit music I think Hyun Joong’s music is becoming a big hit even at the internet music downloading. I guess Hyun Joong is just in any place where music chart is!
I read fan comments from another blog, as other fans may be wondering if Hyun Joong is more popular outside Korea particularly in Japan. Then some were wondering how come he doesn’t have any Korean album release this year. The way I understand it, being a Hallyu Star, Korean artists are being groomed for the international market. Among the biggest Asian showbiz market is in Japan and China. Let’s just say business wise, there’s a greener pasture outside Korea other than the prime goal of Hallyu is spreading the beauty of Korea. The Korean showbiz industry I believe is doing this on purpose which I think is very effective to global entertainment.
For the year 2012, Hyun Joong aimed to reach out for his international fans. KeyEast has every intention in bringing Hyun Joong to Japanese and Chinese market this year. Next year 2013 the aim to expand continue, but I’m sure he’ll be back in his home country and make Korean music again as soon as City Conquest is being aired. Hyun Joong has to take one step at a time. With the current demands on Hyun Joong, maybe if only he can be cloned, it should been easier to satisfy the demands!! LOL!
Hyun Joong may be less active in his home country Korea, but Koreans should be proud of him since Hyun Joong is a part of Global popularity introducing the beauty of Korea in terms of music and drama. Being an ambassador to Korean tourism, Kim Hyun Joong effect has been bringing Korea’s tourism to its peak of gaining revenue. Hyun Joong has been a good model in representing his country and this is important to any country while he brings Korea to the other side of the world. Koreans are very lucky to have an artist like Hyun Joong who is a talented genuine role model, as he consistently spread the beauty of Korea to the world through his beauty head to toes, inside out and his multiple talents.

As time goes the Korean wave have been gaining global popularity in terms of music and dramas that breaks the barrier among the different nations all over the world. Kim Hyun Joong is already a large part of that global popularity. I may just be a fan focused on Hyun Joong but everyday I do feel his gaining fans from different countries which I admit countries that I have not heard of before, even when I was a student!! In each country his fans may start from from a handful numbers but as time goes, the number of fans grow just like other famous stars or the legendary ones.
I remember the first time I started searching about Hyun Joong that I was a bit at lost since I’m a computer illiterate and internet was something to me. I realize that one way of gaining Hyun Joong fans is also through another fan. And one way of making her stay being a fan is knowing more about her idol and keeping them closer or one fan can be a bridge to another new fan. I realize being fan is not only cheering and chanting for her idol, supporting her idol’s every activities, purchasing albums and watching dramas. A fan can also be a bridge in sharing the love support to another fan.
Many of you have been following Hyun Joong since the start of his career. I’m so thankful for the other fans who have dedicated a part of their time in sharing Hyun Joong with other fans specially the new ones through their postings updates and pictures of Hyun Joong. Fans do come and go but there’s always fans in search of Hyun Joong everyday. And in every exposure Hyun Joong has, he gain fans from here and there. It’s nice to see Hyun Joong fans also gain friendship out of strangers from the different parts of the world while in search of Hyun Joong. And through him, we become one in supporting and loving him having the same feelings and thoughts when it comes to Hyun Joong.
GAINING FANS
It has always been the aim of this blog to share all about Kim Hyun Joong, to be the bridge between Hyun Joong and his fans in getting to know him better, to keep him closer to us, to protect and defend him from his critics, and to simply share the love Hyun Joong has for his fans, and vice versa. Hyun Joong fans are real active in posting update news and his pictures that I really appreciate their effort. I would like to encourage more fans in sharing updates about Hyun Joong, specially at this time as he’s active and has many event activities to keep for the future.
Taking advantage of what internet can do in keeping Hyun Joong close to us is very important not only at present but even in the future. I believe we fans can also expand horizon by keeping an easy access in bringing Hyun Joong nearer to the other side of the world where his future fans are. I think majority of Hyun Joong fans were being gained from his previous dramas, specially fans coming from outside Asia, before we discovered that he was not only an actor but a singer too. This could also be one reason why Hyun Joong has a different age range of fans, considering the audience of TV series covers a huge range from every household.
Many have been anticipating the drama City Conquest and once this drama is on air, that would mean another way of gaining attention from non-fans of Hyun Joong and gaining new fans as well. Just the same with his music, I think with his up-coming album Unlimited the target for gaining new fans are the younger generation. If you notice every time Hyun Joong release a new album the increase in album sales increases too. If my observation is right, for this year we have seen the increase from his first Japanese album Kiss Kiss to the latest Heat that both hit the Oricon Music Chart. In the up-coming album Unlimited, let us support Hyun Joong’s brand new image and music. Let’s keep his every project as our memorable collections.
MISSING STAR
Last night many fans at twitter watched the 2012 MAMA and everyone seem to missed the missing star at the awards ceremony and that is Kim Hyun Joong! Last year Hyun Joong won the the Best Male Solo Artist for 2011 MAMA held in Singapore and had performed Lucky Guy. This was one memorable event as his fans joined forces in the MAMA voting polls that every single fan prided as Hyun Joong received an Award of Honor being the Best Artist of 2011. That was my first experience in the voting polls and it was exciting as the fans spent effort and time in voting.
Actually last year 2011, Hyun Joong was busy accepting trophies from here and there, as this year 2012 he was busy meeting his fans in person as his objective to get closer to his fans and started building a special relationship between himself and his fans. Hyun Joong was overwhelmed with the success that he had gained last 2011, from the time he debuted as solo singer. He planned the 2012 fan meeting concert and spent on the second and third quarter of the year in reaching out for his fans to thank them for all the years of love and support to him.
We may be missing Hyun Joong in those awards ceremony, simply because for Hyun Joong this year is the time for him to thank his fans for what he has received in the previous years. Hyun Joong was asked about his plans for 2013, but he said his Japan City Tour had been confirmed and no concrete plans as yet other than the schedules I have posted yesterday. Knowing the guy is full of surprises, then we just have to wait whatever is in store for us.
WHY DO WE LOVE THEE
Hyun Joong may not know each and every fan personally but the strong bond is so amazing that love can be felt between the millions of fans and one single idol Kim Hyun Joong. It is such mysterious that they said one wouldn’t understand unless they fall being a fan! But how do we define this kind of love between fans and her idol? Others may think it’s sided love, is it?? Is it only his fans that love him?? There are a lots of kind of love of course.
Why do we support Hyun Joong like buying his albums, watching his dramas, and attending concerts? Why do we spend more time at the internet checking on Hyun Joong’s updates? Why do we feel hurt every time he’s being criticized? At the same time, why does Hyun Joong get out of his way in meeting his fans if he can just do his job performing on stage? Why does Hyun Joong exert more effort in making his fans happy? It is his fans that inspired him more than anyone can inspire him in working hard? I think there’s only one answer to all of these questions, and that is all because of LOVE.
Isn’t everything that we’ve been doing as fans makes us happy? Hyun Joong is making us happy in so many ways, just the same with him, he’s happy with fans even he doesn’t know us personally. He’s happy to be on stage performing for us and on screen acting on his dramas, just as we are happy as we watch him, and cheer for him. He’s happy with anything he does for his fans, that for Hyun Joong his fans is the center of his inspiration.

Hyun joong says “This song is the precious chance for me to dig out real rock sound. I could join the new process, playing and arrangement,not only recording as a vocalist.”
The MV of「Your Story」has been shot by HONG WONKI director (famous as creating Grils generation MVs) at 2 studios out of town in Seoul for 2 days.
The 1st day for the shooting was when he just came back to Korea from TV shooting late at night in China however he didn’t make him look tired and joked each other with the director and staff in enjoyable atmosphere during the shooting.
Kim Hyun Joong also talks about this MV, “This time MV looks fantatic. It was shot by 2 different sets to create the atmospher like a foreigh country. There is the scene that I play a guiter which is fresh for fans.
I could concentrate the shooting much more as I’ve done (in the past) because it was a short term, just only for 2 days. I think that the MV has many sides like I play a guitar and put my feeling expression. Please look for that.”

Hyun joong says “This song is the precious chance for me to dig out real rock sound. I could join the new process, playing and arrangement,not only recording as a vocalist.”
The MV of「Your Story」has been shot by HONG WONKI director (famous as creating Grils generation MVs) at 2 studios out of town in Seoul for 2 days.
The 1st day for the shooting was when he just came back to Korea from TV shooting late at night in China however he didn’t make him look tired and joked each other with the director and staff in enjoyable atmosphere during the shooting.
Kim Hyun Joong also talks about this MV, “This time MV looks fantatic. It was shot by 2 different sets to create the atmospher like a foreigh country. There is the scene that I play a guiter which is fresh for fans.
I could concentrate the shooting much more as I’ve done (in the past) because it was a short term, just only for 2 days. I think that the MV has many sides like I play a guitar and put my feeling expression. Please look for that.”
